IBM Lotus Sametime Standard 8.0 software, the follow-on release to Lotus Sametime 7.5.1 and the entitlement path for Lotus Sametime customers currently on maintenance, includes all of the capabilities currently available in Lotus Sametime 7.5.1 while introducing broader platform support and continued enhancements in user experience and performance. Lotus Sametime Standard 8.0 is a platform for unified communications and collaboration, combining security features with an extensible, open solution that includes integrated VoIP within the enterprise and point-to-point video, geographic location awareness, managed interoperability with supported public IM networks, mobile clients, and a robust Business Partner community offering telephony, video, and business application integration.
Lotus Sametime Standard 8.0 software allows you to easily communicate and collaborate in real time with coworkers, partners, suppliers, and customers. Through Lotus Sametime software, you can determine who is online and available, so you can find the people you need, fast, contact people more quickly than through e-mail and less expensively than by telephone, and conduct online Web conferences, sharing documents, or brainstorming ideas. Built on the open Eclipse framework, Lotus Sametime Standard 8.0 software is unmatched in its ability to be extended with custom applications and integrated into a company's business processes. Lotus Sametime Standard software delivers advanced security features and the flexibility to choose the best technology platforms for your business.

IPLA and Subscription and Support considerations
IPLA licenses can be transferred from one machine to another within, but not limited to an enterprise. You may aggregate the capacity for all the processors the product is operated on to achieve a more economic price. This will result in a single Proof of Entitlement (PoE). It is your responsibility to manage the distribution of Value Units within the limits of the entitlement of the product license.
Subscription and Support must cover the same capacity as the product license entitlement. Subscription and Support will be available in the country in which the agreement is made.
